(Anatomically Directed Design): ; More room for your big toe equals greater comfort, and allows the foot to provide stability, cushioning, and efficient movement. Asymmetrical lacing system encourages the shoe to flex more like your foot, reduces break-in time, and increases overall comfort. A lateral tongue post provides a more anatomical fit, resulting in better control and stability, less tongue drift, and keeps debris out. Heel pads that are asymmetrical, medial to lateral, provide a more accurate fit around the anklebones. Asymmetrical cuff height allows for comfort on the lower lateral side, and provides support on the taller medial side. TPU spine: ; Cutout heel design allows for lighter weight, and provides a centering directional force to the stride while promoting a comfortably soft heelstrike for long days on the trail. The midfoot design has its greatest 3-dimensional aspect to maximize support. TrailSport Hike outsole: ; Four oversized, slightly out-flared, midfoot pillar lugs provide a solid foundation where its needed most. These lugs complement the TPU spine, stabilizing where the foot needs it most. The multi-directional lug orientation reflects the versatility and sportiness of this model. Garmont's new technique, lug faces with both a traditional bevel and an added twist, literally accelerates the self-cleaning performance that removes mud and debris.
